The approach for the design of this 1000 square foot apartment was restraint. A color palette limited to brown, black and off-white was chosen to unify the space without competing with the dramatic shadows and light cast from near floor to ceiling perimeter windows. Whereas the classic modern furniture was upholstered in solids so as not to detract from the sculptural forms, pattern was derived solely from artwork and rugs.
