Designer Lee Ledbetter returned to his roots and fit his contemporary collections of art and furniture into a snug flat in historic New Orleans. Beauty is not in the eye of the beholder at least not to Lee Ledbetter. Instead, the designer and architect … believes that beauty lies in simplicity. ‘It really boils down to restraint and scale’, he says.
Without an antique in sight, he was able to balance the spirit of the classical with the scale of the contemporary.
Lean and clean, that’s how Ledbetter deals with small spaces. Still he cautions against going too far in one direction. ‘Things too minimal can be cold…I want the best of both worlds warm and minimal’.
