The garden combines architectural elements and works of art in a landscape that continues to be completely in character with City Park.
The building’s principal façade engages its site, facing the Lake Pontchartrain shore, an unusual condition in New Orleans…The house was designed to accommodate an extensive art collection, and wall surfaces were carefully orchestrated to hold specific works and allow for more distant views of them.
